Given my penchant for problem solving and a fifty year career in broadcasting and voicover I have been interested in finding solutions to problems. So far I cannot see any troublesome ones from my end with Voice123. I will contiune to explore as I work the system, however an online computer based automated talent broker has one possible flaw. I am an experienced voice-over talent placed in a computer world with many persons who have limited talent. Since speed and 24 hour monitoring is of the essence, you will not get the best talent for the projects. Many agents and talent buyers are not qualified in this enviroment to make critical judgments about work. People like me are forced to stay up all hours of the nite and day to get an audition in. I am 66 years old and do not have a computer in my moms basement an RE 20 and a junction box. My studio is really used for making songwriter demos and works well for this. In essance, the bigger studios with which I work like Studio Center and Marc Graue are more competetitive in the talent aspect and do not depend on cybernetic skills. If your company can accept comment, I have only one.
I have submitted over twenty audtitons by invitation in the past week and a half and have not
gotten one piece of business. I have done some of my best work on some of these. It may be you have
found a niche' that works well for you and I am very gratefull for the free trial and want to continue, hovever in time I will have to concentrate on other
areas. I have noticed that like small market radio, some employees may not know just how good a pro really is. If you can have staff people who can hear and not just have computer software look at the bio and info you might find a way to grow even larger. The big jobs are judged by a good set of ears such as my son's who is ceo of one of the largest music publishing companies in the world.
He is successful because he still listens to the music. I urge you to find a standard for talent judgement not based on the ears of
foriegn extracts and those who cannot speak the English language or a computer generated selection system but step up and get in the arts of voiceacting from the standpoint of one who has done it all. I am very grateful for the chance to email you. I deeply appreciate the trial membership and shall continue to pour my heart out in auditions, hoping that I might snag something from your very unique and professional site..... thank Charlie C.
